Funeral services for Myrla D. Nigh, 59 of Cottonwood Falls, KS will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Flint Hills Community Church in Cottonwood Falls with Pastor Jim Bartsch officiating. Burial will follow at Strong City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from 6:30 to 8pm at the Flint Hills Community Church. Mrs. Nigh passed away on July 25 at the Golden Living Center. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Myrla Nigh Memorial, which will go towards Erin Nigh's Educational Fund and may be sent to; Exchange National Bank, P.O. Box 310, Cottonwood Falls, KS. 66845.
Myrla was born August 2, 1950 in Strong City, KS to Roy & Bernice (Pritchett) Johnson. Myrla was a cook at the Chase County Middle School.
She is survived by her husband James Nigh of the home, three sons; Ricky Lee Smith of Hutchinson, KS, Adam Truett Smith of Allen, KS and Andrew Charles Smith of Fredonia, KS, two daughters; Yvonne Marie McClead of Ringling, OK and Erin Nicole Nigh of the home, her mother; Bernice Johnson, brother; Roy Douglas Johnson of Emporia, KS, two sisters; Linda Sue Garr of Cottonwood Falls, KS and Lela Ann Smith of Fayetteville, AR; and sixteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Roy Johnson and a nephew Darrin Counselor.
