Anthony “Tony” Kempher, 19, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his home in Dwight.
He was born November 18, 1992 in York, Nebraska to Karl and Shele (Bratek) Kempher.
Tony was a graduate of Council Grove High School class of 2011. He was employed by Florence Manufacturing and was an avid Kansas University Basketball fan.
Tony has been known to say his greatest treasure and most valued memory was the recent birth of his son Kyler. He was a loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Tony is survived by his parents Karl and Shele, of the home; sister Janelle Kempher and fiancée Matthew Wirtz and their two daughters Lilly and Karlee Wirtz, of Council Grove; brother Jacob Kempher, of the home; grandparents Larry and Lorettta Kempher, of Brownstown, Michigan, Mark and Peggy Bratek of Rapid City, South Dakota and Donald and De Perrin, of Vienna, Virginia; great-grandmother, Jean Coltharp, of Aurora, Colorado, along with countless other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 7:00pm, Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Monday, September 17th, at the Community Christian Church, 18 McCardell St. in Council Grove. Interment will follow at Dwight Cemetery. The family suggest casual dress. The family will be meeting at the Dwight Community Building after the graveside service and invites friends to join them.
