Frank Donald Ginnett, 66, of Alta Vista, KS, passed away Friday, November 29, 2013, at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1947, in Anacortes, Washington to Frank W. Ginnett and Faye (Taylor) Osburn.
Frank served in the United States Army from March 1, 1966 to August 31, 1986, serving in the Vietnam War. He was awarded the army commendation medal along with numerous other medals and badges.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Patriot Guard, American Legion and the American Legion Riders.
Frank was an avid reader and had started his own library. He was a history buff, and a strong supporter of 2nd amendment rights and National Rifle Association. He loved riding his motorcycle. Frank enjoyed joking and laughter; he never met a stranger and was liked by all.
Frank is survived by his children Don Ginnett, of Monroe, WA, Christina O’Connor, of Minneapolis, KS, Jeffrey Ginnett, of Alta Vista, and Jennifer English and husband Ron, of Evergreen, AL; grandchildren, Jake O’Connor, Kevin O’Connor and Alisha English; mother Faye Osburn, of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Quita Stone, of Grayson, KY and Wendy Ginnett, of Fayetteville, AR; and brother Nephi Ginnett, of Meza, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Clyde Ginnett.
