Tony Glessner passed away February 10, 2014 at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove, Kansas.

Tony was born on January 20, 1958 in Wichita, Kansas to Roy and Etta (Wernecke) Glessner. He was the 2nd of 4 children born to Roy and Etta. They moved from Wichita to Junction City when Tony was 2 years old. He attended Franklin Elementary School and Junction City Junior High School. They later moved to White City in 1973. Tony graduated from White City High School in 1976. While in high school, he lettered in track, football and basketball. He occasionally skipped school to go hunting with his friends and cousins. While in school, he mowed lawns, had a paper route, worked at Good Eats Cafe' and worked with his cousins at the Mid-America Movers. After he graduated from high school, he worked full time at Mid-America Movers and later for Academy Movers, at Morris County until he medically retired, he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation as a laborer and later a Specialist.

He married Cindy Daccus in 1981 and their union brought into this world his first pride and joy, daughter Kristi. They later divorced. He married Mindy Baker in 2010 and this union added two more wonderful daughters into his life, Amanda Otte and Stacy Vernon.

Tony enjoyed life in many ways. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, play softball and just spending time with friends and family and his beloved dogs, Benelli and Mossy. He was a huge KU Jayhawks fan-ROCK CHALK! Hunting was his true passion. He enjoyed hunting with his wife Mindy and his daughter Kristi, his brothers, cousins and friends. He also enjoyed watching Kristi at her sporting events and dance recitals all through school. He was kind-hearted and would do anything for anybody. Family and friends were very important to Tony and he always put them first.

Tony is survived by his father, Roy(Junior) Glessner, his wife Mindy, his daughters Kristi, Amanda (Jessie) Otte, Stacy (Lance) Vernon and brothers Larry Glessner (Sandy) and Ricky Glessner (Judy) sister Carol (Freddie) Worrell and his Mother-In-Law Shirley Baker. He is also survived by his two Aunts, Lucille Carlton and Della Hoffman, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his mother Etta Marie Glessner in May 2013 and his Father-In-Law, Bernard Baker, in 2012.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
