Glennis Faye (Parsons) Furman, 75, went to be with her Savior on Friday, August 1, 2014.
Glennis was born to Pearly and Iva (Berry) Parsons on September 18, 1938 just outside Dwight, KS. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Council Grove.
She married Harold Furman on June 15, 1958 at the Wilsey Christian Church. They always lived in the Council Grove area.
God blessed their marriage with 3 kids; Greg, Jerry and Gail. She was a stay at home mom while the kids were in school. She was the activity director at the nursing home and enjoyed her time there. She enjoyed children and had a day care in her home for several years.
Glennis enjoyed sewing and would take on all kinds of “challenges” and work her magic to get the desired results. Her best times were spent with family, especially her grandchildren who could do no wrong (well, most of the time). Whenever she would get a new picture at the nursing home everyone would see it, numerous times.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Furman on March 9, 2004, her parents and 1 brother Oren Parsons.
Glennis is survived by 2 sons, Greg Furman and wife Sharri of Brush, Co and Jerry Furman and wife Stacy, of Council Grove and 1 daughter, Gail Yadon and husband Keith of Council Grove. She has 8 grandchildren: Jonathan and wife Emily Furman, Kristina and husband Anthony Landin and Ashton Furman, Nicole, Alix, and Aaron Furman, Lora and husband Alan Koepsel and Leslie and husband James Fetters and 7 great grandchildren: Tristin, Tre and Trinadee Fetters, Levi and Sara Koepsel and Camden and Addelly Furman.
She is also survived by her brother Bill Parsons and wife Doris and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Morris County Senior Center or First Baptist Church.
