Lee J. Muncy, 84, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Diversicare of Council Grove.
He was born August 12, 1930 to Lee and Ruby Muncy in eastern Oklahoma.
He married Evelyn Decker February 5, 1950, she survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons: Duane Muncy and wife Valorie, and Michael Muncy and wife Linda, all of Council Grove; brother, Jack Muncy, of Tulare, California; sister, Alma Gwinn of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents and four Brothers: Levi, Gerald, Joe, and Gene; and two sisters: Audrey and Genvieve.
He was a retired minister who lived a simple life. Much of his life
revolved around three things: the Lord Jesus Christ, people and the
Christian Ministry. He loved his savior, his family, his church and his fellow man. Instead of investing his life in a hobby or financial
wealth, he invested his life in people. Friendships were one of his most prized possessions; he made it clear that he would rather take a
financial loss than lose a friend.
