Lillian Margaret Pickett, 96, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Diversicare of Council Grove.
She was born January 18, 1919 in Winkler, KS, the daughter of August and Olga (Blaske Ziegenhirt.
She married Gerald Pickett on May 4, 1946 in Reno, Nevada. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1987. They lived many years in Marysville, KS. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Community Memorial Hospital. They moved to Greenleaf, KS in 1985, where she volunteered at the Senior Center.
Lillian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenleaf, before transferring her membership to Calvary Lutheran Church in Council Grove in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald; siblings, Carl Ziegenhirt, Sr., Dora Ziegenhirt, Emma Eden, F.H. Ziegenhirt, Herman Ziegenhirt, Pauline Moore, Fred Ziegenhirt, Mabel Huber and Henry Ziegenhirt; and several nieces and nephews.
Lillian is survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Diversicare of Council Grove or Calvary Lutheran Church.
