Elizabeth Ann Moyer, 69, Alta Vista, Kansas, passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at her home.
She was born April 21, 1946, in Council Grove, Kansas, the daughter of Fred R. and Marjorie Anemone (Orton) Clark. Her early years were spent on the family farm. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in political science. In June 1968, she married Louis Moyer. They were later divorced. They had one daughter, Catherine.
Liz spent most of her adult life working at the Alta Vista State Bank, which has been in her family since 1932, starting as a teller and ending up as President and owner of the bank. Some of her most fond memories of the bank involved working with her father and later her daughter.
Liz was an avid vintage jewelry collector who wore pieces of it every day. She was a fan of Kansas State University, especially football. She was active in various community organizations in Alta Vista and the surrounding area, and touched many lives with her fair and honest banking background. One of the highlights of her life was a trip to France with her sister Penny in 2011. Her greatest joy was her granddaughter, Yuna, who spent almost every weekend at Grandma's house, where they had many fun adventures.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 1997.
Liz is survived by a daughter, Kati Bosch (wife Amy), Manhattan, Kansas; granddaughter, Yuna Bosch, Manhattan; special companion, Tom Jones, Alta Vista; two brothers, John Clark (wife Frances) Alta Vista and Alan Clark (wife Sharon), Manhattan; sister Penny Clark, Beaumont, Texas; two nieces and one nephew; and many other friends and relatives.
