Jack E. Allen, 78, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 02, 2015, at Peabody Health and Rehab.
He was born February 23, 1937, in Council Grove, to Chester and Gladys (Bowman) Allen. He graduated from Council Grove High School in 1955. He worked at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, as a machinist, retiring after forty years, in 1997.
Jack was a member and Union Steward for International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers, Local 834 District 70.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He loved playing games with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carolee, and brothers Daryl and Bill.
Jack is survived by his wife Charlotte, of the home; sons David Allen (Cindy) and Steven Allen, all of Wichita; daughter Pamela Allen, of OH; stepdaughter Dawnetta Bennett (Jim), of Salina; grandchildren Ashley Waggoner, Jack Allen, Christopher Bennett and Aaron Bennett; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Kay Bratton; brothers Dean Allen, Bob Allen and Larry Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Jack’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
