John Franklin Lynch, 69, longtime resident of Alta Vista, Kansas, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Morris County Hospital.
He was born June 25, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to James and Alta (Ford) Lynch. He enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
John married the love of his life, Nancy Ann Pape, on March 9, 1973, in Kansas City, Kansas. On October 16, 1979, they welcomed their most joyous occasion…. the birth of their loving daughter, Kathryn Ann Lynch.
He has been a construction inspector for many years. He was currently employed by BG Consultants, Inc. where he was working on a major project in Scranton, Kansas. He has been working for BG for 27 years.
John enjoyed life, family and friends. He was a hard worker, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
John is survived by his wife, Nancy, of the home; daughter Kathryn Lynch and husband Roger Miles, and granddaughter Kaliyea Miles, all of Georgetown, KY. He is also survived by his closet and dearest friends sister-in-law Judith V. and husband Paul Hambelton, of Gardner. Also surviving are five brothers and a sister; sister-in-law Linda Pape; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a private family inurnment will be held at Emmanuel Cemetery.
