Norma Jean Knackstedt Ingmire of Council Grove, Kansas, concluded her symphony of life on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the age of 81.
Norma was born October 6, 1931, to Rudolph and Treva Duke Knackstedt in Marion, Kansas. She married Wallace Ingmire on March 5, 1950, at Council Grove Christian Church and they resided in Council Grove throughout their life together. Four children – Douglas, Randall, Mark, and Lori – were born to this union.
God, music, and family were key elements within Norma’s life. And in her life, each blended together in perfect harmony.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace, of the home. Norma also leaves behind son, Doug Ingmire and his wife, Janet, of Newton, Kansas, and Doug and Janet’s children, Sara Hutchison and her husband, Todd, and their children, Gracie, Emma, Kate, and Cole of Wichita, Kansas, Eric Ingmire and his wife, Joanna, and their children, Hudson and Harrison of Manhattan, Kansas, and Ethan Ingmire of Manhattan, Kansas; also son, Randy Ingmire and his wife, Lorena, of Manhattan, Kansas; and Randy and Lorena’s children, Megan Bottenberg and her husband, Jeff, and their daughter, Rory, of Topeka, Kansas, Bryce Ingmire and his wife, Lauren, of Seattle, Washington, Mac Ingmire and his wife, Jessica, of Lincoln, Illinois, and Brock Ingmire of Lawrence, Kansas; also son, Mark Ingmire and his wife, Margaret, of Savannah, Georgia, and Mark and Margaret’s children, Collin Ingmire of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Olivia Ingmire of the home in Savannah; also daughter, Lori Hutchinson and her husband, Doug, of Topeka, Kansas, and Lori and Doug’s children, Matt Hutchinson of Kansas City, Missouri, Morgan Hutchinson and Jack Hutchinson of the home in Topeka. Also surviving is her brother, Frank Knackstedt and his wife, Donna, of Pontiac, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wilma (Irish) Shaw.
